Nothing hits the spot like a cold beer after hiking all day. When you come back from the trail head downtown to grab a pint at of the breweries in Banff or Canmore. My favorite was 3 Bears Brewing, they had great beer and pizza. Be sure to check out the review of the breweries I tried in Banff.

The trailhead for Tunnel Mountain is also accessible from the town of Banff so it is easy to get to.
Visit Lake Louise and Moraine Lake

While there are plenty of things to do in Banff, lets me honest you came to see those turquoise blue lakes. Lake Louise and Moraine Lake are the most picturesque sites in Banff National Park and in turn one of the most popular spots to visit in Banff. They are located farther into the park so it is suggested you use a shuttle service or the park and ride. Given that they are such popular spots I would suggest getting there early to avoid crowds. Of all the things to do in Banff, this is one you cannot miss.
Get Ice Cream at Cows Banff

If you are looking for a sweet treat while in Banff, stop by Cows. Cows is a Canadian ice cream chain that was founded on Price Edward Island but now spans the country. They pride themselves on high quality ingredients and only use dairy from Price Edward Island cows. They have over 30 flavors to choose from. I got pecan pralines and cream which was delicious. If you are planing to go at peaks times be ready for a line as it can get very busy.
